Being Banned from Alternet

A few months back a friend of mine posted an article from "Alternet" concerning why public schools suck so badly these day.  The article was complete rubbish but what fascinated me were the comments section (as is the case with nearly every article I read).  The *ahem* article was focused on how the religious right are at fault for the failing public schools.  As I said... rubbish. The comments section was overflowing with noting but sycophantic yes-men all chiming in with nothing but total agreement with a heaping pile of tired cliches (e.g. Republikkkans are the devil, they hate women, they hate poor people, want to see them all drink dirty water and die, and various other gems).

Enter The Bearded Bow Tie Guy (that's me, queue dramatic music).  With one simple post asking them to prove the misogyny and racism, it exploded.  I received SO many replies to this with all sort of "proof" such as "the proof is in the pudding!" and "how can you not see that?" and my personal fave.. "You're obviously too obtuse to think on our level here."  Ahh.... the fond memories.  I digress...

Recent case of the Mike Brown shooting in Ferguson MO drew a lot of the same comments.  Some were, sorry to say, EXTREMELY racist toward white people.  I know that most of you on the left are like... "so? that's acceptable!"  WRONG!!  If you mark out ANY group of people and make comments akin to extermination, you are no better than the swastika sporting knee boots that stomped all over Europe mid last century.  If you sanction those acts, yes, even by "liking" them or "voting them up," you're wearing the shiny black knee boots too my friend. 

So, by asking the same questions and painting scenarios for them to try and get them to see their racism, I got the boot from their site.  HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  *Note to self: slide that one on the calendar as a red-letter day.  There was no explanation and no reply to my inquiry why as of this posting. 

NONE of my postings were racist in any way shape or form.  Unless of course you're an overly sensitive liberal or girlyman.  But I repeat myself...

One Tin Soldier Rides Away...

UGH!!!  How did I miss this?!?!?  Tom Laughlin, 82, Star of ‘Billy Jack’ Movie Series, Dies

I grew up watching and idolizing him in the Billy Jack movies!  Tough to determine who inspired me the most to learn self defense between him and David Carradine as Kwai Chang Cain!  Both of these fine actors and their craft are what I credit with helping to turn me in to the man I am today.  That is, a rugged individualist, lover of freedom, defender of the downtrodden, patriot, mistrusting of government, and heavily engaged in self defense of my person, property, family, and Nation.  No, I'm not a caped crusader by any stretch but I am (as you may have gathered) a staunch Constitutionalists which, by it's very nature makes me leery of government in any form.  Hence, the aforementioned description.

The only reason I bring this up is that it's kinda odd that one could credit (or blame) Hollywood for the man I've become.  Sure, there are many more external influences responsible (family, experience & education to name a few).  But to be reflective on this, I do recall watching the old shows and thinking to myself, maybe I should learn self defense just in case there ever comes a day I run in to bad guys.  Even though I grew up in a VERY rural area, I still saw the news and read the papers and understood what sort of bad things happened elsewhere.  

It was also parts of these bastions of entertainment that had me thinking that one day... maybe... albeit a long shot, government officials (at any level) could be corrupt and try to take away my liberties.  (i know, I know... that's just crazy talk).  This could be blamed on the movies as well as a few hippie wannabe teachers I had telling me daily to "always question authority!"  "Never trust the government!"  Surprisingly, these folks were as liberal as they come!  I wonder if they ever thought that any of their students would keep that advice close to heart and use it when the LSD crowd gains the upper hand?  Hmmm.... the strangeness of life cannot be measured.  "One Tin Soldier Rides Away...."
 

Wolf Anyone?

As I was having a heated (yet respectful) debate with a liberal relative I haven't seen in many moons, I was reminded of the old story I heard growing up called "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." If you're unfamiliar with it, look it up and pay close attention to the lesson the story imparts. 

The reason I was reminded of it was that when I pointed out many of the lies & scandals of the Obama administration, my dear uncle had heard enough & informed me that I'm a racist. Meeeee? "Yes, you! You hate it that a black man is in the White House!" I resisted the urge to point out that he's actually only half black, no slave blood, and the description he used is widely unpopular with the liberal crowd. But, being the consummate 'bigger man' I resisted.

Anyway...

Me, with a spouse not of my race; me, friends of nearly every race I can think of; me, one of the few kids who was friends with my high school's only student of African decent (we'll call him Stan) & remained his friend even when he came out of the closet. Keep in mind folks, this was "Smallville USA" at a time when that wasn't so popular. Yeah, I was ostracized & got in some fights over this. But Stan was a good person, that's all I knew or needed. The whole point of this paragraph was to point out stuff that dear uncle knows.

The accusation barely registered with me. Why you may ask? Because I've heard this waaaayyyy too many times. Not only from liberals who are losing to me in a debate, but from the likes of the MSNBC crowd. Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Ed Shulze and the usual bouquet of useful idiots.  in Hollywood.

Liberals, this tactic may have worked about 10 years ago but your overuse of it in recent years has watered it down. Years back if you accused someone of being a racist you could get them to give up their own mother and back-peddle any opinion they had just to prove their innocence. Today, not so much. You throw the accusation about on a whim when you don't have a constructive retort to support your views. When cornered in a debate or at a loss of an explanation as to why someone don't agree or conform, you cry racist.

In some cases I'd dismiss this as the last resort of a weak mind. But, the aforementioned TV "news" personalities I think they actually believe that the tactic works.

Bottom line... you've watered down the word and it's effectiveness.  Nowadays, whenever it's thrown out there to try and deride a conservative, we all smile to ourselves knowingly, we've won.  

A Little 'Slight of Phrase"

Picked this up off social media comments today…

“There are historic parallels to how another extreme party turned a different democratic government in Europe into a dictatorship. One rule at a time, slow erosion.”

Oddly enough, the author was referring to the Republicans in the House and their purported part in the current shutdown. 

I say ‘oddly’ because as many of you know, the NAZI party name translates in to “National Socialist German Workers' Party.”   Newsflash… there is one of the two major parties that leans toward socialism in this country… just sayin. 

To further your edification on this you may want to check out a book called “Liberal Fascism: by Jonah Goldberg.   This book lays it all out as to how the Left in this country is, in fact, far closer to the Nazi party than the Right as portrayed in various media outlets.  

Interestingly enough, I never heard the phrase “Godwin’s’ Law” passed around so much until AFTER Mr. Goldberg’s book came out.  I think partly because since then, and the following year when Obama was elected, many have learned from his book and turned the charges of Nazism back toward the place it belongs. Face it, if the left in this country had their way, we would be controlled in our speech (re: political correctness) controlled in our habits (smoke in a building much these days?) and controlled in how we live our lives in general.  And these are just a few examples of how the Left actually works to control the nation… a few elites in DC telling the rest of us how to live our lives.  Think about it folks… this is where we’re headed.  Socialism has been creeping up on us for the past century at least.  

**Caveat:  The right in this country isn’t much better.  There are some in the Republican Party that are in lockstep with the Democrats and wouldn’t bat an eye at pushing through socialistic legislation designed to control.  Oddly enough, one of the first 'side-steppers' of the Constitution in our history was a Republican.  

The Left's 'BOOM moment?"

A recent video that seems to be going viral has crossed my interest today.  Almost of 'viral' status I suppose, I've seen this on social media and a few other websites.  Websites of both leanings I might add...

Question on this, so a party, that's in the majority, enacts legislation to make the other party's life hard, and we're supposed to feel bad?  Isn't that what's known as "politics?"  Isn't this done on both sides of the isle?  Maybe I'm  mistaken, won't be the first time.  

What I do find amusing is those of left-leaning tendency are touting this as the "BOOM moment" for their argument that the shutdown is solely owned my the Repubs in the House, as if the Dems in the Senate's 'my way or the highway' attitude has nothing to do with it.  To refresh your memory, here's a list of what's been offered since the shutdown.  Enjoy!

Are you freakin kidding me???

First off, I think it’s VERY telling that this writer won’t mention the political party that fought tooth-and-nail to keep an entire people in bondage as well as supported the Jim Crow laws.  Guilty conscious anyone? 

This is a prime example of how the LSD crowd is resorting to petty name-calling and highly inaccurate comparisons to try and stir up their followers to frenzy.  Calling the stalwart House Republicans the “New Confederacy?”  Really?  Project much?

Mr. King… please provide concrete proof that the invalidation of key parts of the Voting Rights Act will result in groups of people having their right to vote taken away.  Waiting…

“Hold on to that Confederate money, y’all. Jim Crow just might rise again.”  It has risen again Mr. King.  It’s in the form of your ilk convincing millions of minorities that they are unable to function without the Government standing over them legislating fairness.  There was a point in time during our history when (Americans of African Decent) AOAD had a strong family bond, off-the-chart work ethic, and considered education, articulation, and hard work to be virtues.  Many, unfortunately have bought in to the hype that the deck is stacked against them and have given up.  Maybe it’s my days on active duty when I worked with (and for) many individuals that were not male, not white, and could work and manage circles around many a white male.  I refuse to believe that any one group is incapable of success and needs Big Brother to give them a hand up (out?).  The LSDs lost the fight to keep people in chains so now they resort to making them dependent.  This monstrous ACA that will effectively exercise control over our health choices (with the IRS in the lead no less) is just another attempt to control (bind) every citizen of this great nation.

I would say “shame on you” but I know that’s a concept long forgotten by LSDs.  I am certain that there are many like-minded readers of yours who have read, shared, and smugly saying to themselves “Boom!”  But to those of us who took the Red Pill, this is an entertaining piece of fiction at best.

Blame Game Anyone? How Abour A Sprinkle of Pettiness?

So let me get this straight… the Republican-led House has sent multiple amendments to the Democrat-led Senate along with offers to meet and discuss. As I understand it, the House has actually conceded from their earlier position of totally defunding the ACA to delaying it and requiring that our elected ‘leaders’ receive the same plan that’s being foisted on the rest of us. (Isn’t that compromise?) The Senate has ignored the compromises and refuses to meet with them; but it’s the Republican’s fault?

Can someone please explain this to me? 

While we’re at it… could you also please explain the absolute pettiness of the Left these days?  One only has to watch some of these articles being posted on social media as well as (ahem) “journalists” to see a TON of name-calling(childish) and tired descriptive (bomb’s strapped to their chest, extortion, gun to our heads, etc).  When will the LSD crowd grow the hell up and come and talk, negotiate, and compromise like grown folk??

Sorry folks, the ACA (Obamacare) was, and still is, a VERY unpopular piece of legislation back when it was rammed through both the House and Senate (both controlled by Dems at the time).  So you can’t expect me to have ANY sympathy for you when a group of duly-elected representatives stand up to these shameless tactics!  

Shame on you all for being so petulant that your signature prize of socialism is being railroaded!  Boo freakin hoo!!!
